Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines for Idaria: Journal of Islamic Educational Management. These guidelines provide comprehensive instructions for authors submitting manuscripts to the Idaria: Journal of Islamic Educational Management. Authors are required to follow these guidelines strictly to ensure a smooth and timely review process.
General Submission Requirements
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original work, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Scope: The manuscript must align with the journal's Focus and Scope (Islamic Basic Education).
- Language: Submissions are accepted in English or Bahasa Indonesia (with English title, abstract, and keywords).
- Ethical Compliance: Authors must adhere to the Publication Ethics of the Idaria: Journal of Islamic Educational Management, including proper citation, non-plagiarism, and disclosure of conflicts of interest.
Manuscript Structure and Format
The total length of the manuscript, including abstract, tables, figures, and references, should be 6,000–8,000 words (or as specified by the journal).
Title and Author Details
- Title: Clear, concise, and reflecting the content of the research (maximum 15 words).
- Authorship: Full names of all authors, their institutional affiliation, and complete corresponding author contact details (email and phone number).
- Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract: A single paragraph of 150–250 words. It must clearly state the research background, objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusion.
- Keywords: 3–5 keywords that are representative of the manuscript's conten.
Main Body Structure
Manuscripts should generally follow the IMRaD structure:
- Introduction: Background, problem formulation, literature review (briefly), and research objectives.
- Method: Detailed explanation of the research design, participants/subjects, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures.
- Results and Discussion: Presentation of main findings, followed by a thorough discussion that compares the findings with previous literature and theoretical frameworks.
- Conclusion: Summary of the main findings and implications, along with suggestions for future research.
Formatting and Style
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.
- Spacing: 1.5 spacing.
- Paper Size: A4, with standard margins.
- Heading: Use a standard hierarchical numbering system (e.g., 1., 1.1, 1.1.1).
Citation and Reference Style
- Citation Style: The journal mandates the use of the APA 7th Edition style for both in-text citations and the reference list.
- Reference List: Must contain only sources cited within the text and arranged alphabetically. A minimum of 80% of the sources should be from primary sources (journals or proceedings) published within the last 10 years.
- Reference Management: Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software (such as Mendeley or Zotero) to ensure accuracy.
Submission Process
- Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS) platform on the website.
- Cover Letter: Authors must include a brief cover letter confirming that the manuscript is original and meets the journal's ethical standards.
- Checklist: Ensure all parts of the manuscript are complete and that all author identifying information has been removed from the main manuscript file for the double-blind review process.
