Policy Details
- Zero Tolerance: The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and data falsification.
- Screening Tool: All submitted manuscripts are subject to a thorough plagiarism check using industry-standard screening software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before being sent out for peer review.
- Threshold: The maximum acceptable limit for similarity (excluding references, common phrases, and titles) is typically 20% (this percentage should be specified by the journal). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be immediately rejected or returned to the author for substantial revision of the borrowed content.
- Author Responsibility: Authors are ultimately responsible for the originality of their work and must ensure proper citation and quotation for all material taken from other sources.
- Action on Detection: If plagiarism or other forms of misconduct are detected at any stage (during submission, peer review, or even after publication), the journal reserves the right to take appropriate action, including immediate rejection, formal retraction, and notifying the author's institution.
