Publication Ethics
The Idaria: Journal of Islamic Educational Management is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scientific publication, guided by the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These ethics apply to Authors, the Editorial Board, and Reviewers.
Author Responsibilities
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is their original work. Plagiarism, data fabrication (making up false data), and data falsification (manipulating data) are strictly prohibited. Authors must provide proper citation for all used work by others.
- Duplicate Submission: Manuscripts submitted to the Idaria: Journal of Islamic Educational Management must not be under review or have been published in another journal or publication medium.
- Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. Everyone who contributed significantly must be listed as a co-author.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: All Authors must disclose any financial or substantial conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
Editorial Board Responsibilities (Editor)
- Publication Decisions: The Editorial Board is fully responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication, based on their validity, scientific importance, relevance to the journal's scope, and originality.
- Confidentiality: The Editorial Board must guarantee the confidentiality of incoming manuscripts. They must not disclose information about the manuscript to anyone other than the Author, the appointed Reviewers, and other relevant Editorial Board members.
- Non-Discriminatory: The review process and publication decisions must be conducted fairly, objectively, and without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, institutional affiliation, or nationality of the Authors.
- Handling Ethical Misconduct: Editors must be responsive when there is suspicion of publication misconduct, including conducting an adequate investigation into complaints of plagiarism or duplicate submission.
Reviewer Responsibilities (Peer Reviewer)
- Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively. Reviewers must avoid personal criticism of the Author and provide clear, constructive assessments based on strong scientific arguments.
- Standard of Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat the manuscript under review as a confidential document and must not discuss its content with others, unless authorized by the Editorial Board.
- Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers who feel they have a conflict of interest (e.g., a personal or professional relationship with the Author) must decline to conduct the review.
- Timeliness: Reviewers must complete the review within the specified timeframe to ensure an efficient publication process for the Authors.
